I created this web page because I'm sick and tired of all the fake and counterfeit #5 Reggie Bush Nike jerseys that are being sold on eBay. I truly want to educate all fellow eBay members on how to not get ripped off.

99% of ALL Reggie Bush jerseys on eBay currently are fakes!
It's sad to say but almost EVERY jersey that says 'Authentic' is nothing more than a jersey that has been customized with numbers that have been retreaded or renumbered (which is where the seller will strip off the original numbers and custom sewn on different numbers and sell it as 'Authentic'). You CANNOT alter and jersey a call it a 'Authentic'. A lot of sellers will call these jerseys 'Authentic Style' or something similar to protect themselves from selling counterfeit merchandise.
YOU DEFINATELY CANNOT ALTER ANY NIKE JERSEY AND RESELL IT WITHOUT DISCLOSING THAT THE JERSEY HAS BEEN ALTERED!!! This is ILLEGAL!
Where you REALLY have to be careful is with the SIGNED or AUTOGRAPHED jerseys. Just because it has a real signature with a COA (certificate of authentication), IT DOESN'T GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO CALL A COUNTERFEIT JERSEY 'AUTHENTIC'. This is ILLEGAL. The COA is certifiying the signature to be real NOT the jersey! This is where many sellers RIP YOU OFF! Look at the fine print in the jersey description.
A REAL REGGIE BUSH JERSEY WITH A REAL SIGNATURE JERSEY WILL COST YOU AROUND $250 - $500.

The REAL back of the jersey features a single crescent/stripe on each shoulder pad and numbers on the sleeve (BOTH numbers and stripes on the jerseys are sewn in. Replica numbers are screened on).
#1 MISTAKE ON EVERY FAKE JERSEY!:
1: The corner/tip of the #5 is straight. It DOES NOT have a diagonal cut.(see photo)
EVERY jersey with the the corner/tip of the #5 with a diagonal cut IS FAKE!!!

1: The crescent/stripe DOES NOT connect from the top of shoulder to the bottom of the arm pit! It only wraps around the shoulder half way. NEVER to the arm pit. (see photo) EVERY jersey with the crescent/stripe to the arm pit IS FAKE!!!
2: The stiching that brings together the back body and back shoulder panel comes from the crescent/stripe and goes TO THE COLLAR, NOT STRAIGHT ACROSS! (see photos) Only the replica stitching goes straight across. ANY of these "Straight Across" stitched jerseys that CLAIM they are authentic with 'Sewn On' numbers...ARE FAKE!!!
3: NO jersey will say BUSH on the back. It is ILLEGAL for the NCAA to sell any college jersey with the players name. If your Nike USC jersey says "BUSH" on the back name plate......IT IS FAKE!!!
The lower Left Nike jock tag:
ALL three (3) jerseys have a sewn on Nike Jock Tag (size tag) on the front bottom left of the jersey. Every REAL Nike jersey will have a vertical sewn on tag next to the jock tag that reads "Authentic Team Apparel". If your Nike jersey DOES NOT have this vertical tag, then IT IS FAKE!!!

Replica
Replica jerseys ($50 retail) are sized S, M, L, XL, XXL, 3XL. All jerseys also have the vertical "Authentic Team Apparel" sewn tag.

If your 'AUTHENTIC' or "SEWN" Nike jersey DOES NOT have these and ONLY these tags...then IT IS A FAKE!!!
EVERY jersey shipped from Nike should have a BLACK (not ORANGE) Team Nike Authentic hang tag, with either a NCAA Officially Licensed Collegiate Product hang tag with Hologram Foil sticker or just the Hologram Foil sticker on the jersey.
The hologram has a serial number that can be traced for authenticity. If your jersey DOESN'T have this hologram hang tag or the hologram sticker, it's a good chance it is a FAKE! All these jerseys on eBay with a ORANGE Nike Team hang tag are counterfeit fakes!
BEWARE of these 'Authentic' jerseys with BLACK hang tags WITHOUT the hologram sticker. There are a TON of these on eBay now and are ALL counterfeit!!!
The Rose Bowl patch:
Here is the REAL Rose Bowl patch.
The REAL Rose Bowl patch is stiched on the jersey with cotton thread. It is "dull" or "matte" finished. It is NOT made out of satin and DOES NOT shine. Any Rose Bowl patch that is made out of satin and shines is a FAKE!!!
